Let me start with a story.
The idea for making these bracelets began with my children…
My boys love BTS too, and have hung out with me on my ARMY journey— but even before the tour dates were announced I had decided not to try to bring them to the concert. They are both under 10 and I knew I’d need to travel; money adds up and so does effort required.
Also, for me, this whole experience is about being in the energy and enjoying being fully present, so with all of those factors we decided to leave the kids at home with my spouse.
BUT, after deciding that, I knew I really wanted to be able bring them something special home from the BTS concert; something that could carry them the magic of BTS’s energy.
So, I got witchy and extra and designed a magical crystal bracelet around the aspects of BTS’s aura that intrigue and inspire me:
Magical Connections, Joy, Ambition, Intuition, Authenticity, Positivity, and Confidence
And that is what I hope this magic ARMY bracelet brings you!
My process has been fun and creative
First I picked out the purple amethyst hearts. Every bracelet has at least one. Like with everything, I changed my mind and tried a ton of different combinations, but if you have 7 hearts they are for our Bangtannies, and if you have 1 purple heart it represents you 💜.
Surrounding the amethyst hearts are various combinations of: crystal and aura quartzes, labradorite, rainbow moonstone, midnight goldstone, and aurora tiger’s eye. I picked them because they built the collective aesthetic and energetic vibe I was going for (and fit in my budget and were purchased from small businesses ✌️).
I love how the holographic shimmer in a lot of these stones echoes the ice when it shines along with the sun streaked skies in this season; the frigid cold is so still, and so breathtakingly beautiful! I’ve put bracelets together on fluffy snowy days and fool-you melty days and below zero days— even one blizzard day that we closed down the whole city. So now you know where your bracelet came from! (Can you feel a little bit of the frozen Northland in the shine? It’s ok if its all bangtan now ;)
Why make all of this?
Well, the truth is that in addition to being a mom and a witch (and ARMY, obviously), I’m also a human being living in Minnesota. More than that, I’m a proud Minnesotan.
I started building these bracelets as ICE’s Operation Metro Surge invaded our cities, terrorizing and abducting my neighbors. And even though it’s not in the news anymore, ICE is still impacting our communities.
This is where loving BTS comes into play: they inspire me to be my best and to go big for what I believe in. To love my people hard and trust them to support my dreams. BTS reminds us to start, to try, and to keep going: to love yourself hard and the people supporting you harder.
If you can find your kernel of love and openness, your spark, your THING, then I believe we’ve got a shot in this world! Borahae! 💜
New horrors arrive daily. We find joy in imperfect things, and in each other. We resist and persist!
